Performances or Activities Since the Inception

After the inception of this society through the registration under Society Registration Act,  West Bengal, 1961 on 20th April, 1999 primarily in order to set up and develop a Research Institute in the name Vashistha Institute For North Bengal And North East Developmental Studies (VINBNEDS) for carrying on research activities relating to the problems of development regarding various aspects of the life of the people of North Bengal and North East India in particular and India as a whole in general and secondarily for reaching the other adjoining goals, activists and associated others with this Institute (hence forth the word  Institute will be used)   have started to carry on the following activities since 2000-2001 correcting the institute’s name in the Registration certificate. on 20/09/2000. 

Fund And Other Asset Mobilisation:

  1. To raise fund through receipt and coupon books from the people of local and beyond local areas of North Bengal and North East India especially Assam. This fund collection process has also been going on continuously till to day. But the extent is lower and slower relative to that in the earlier year(s).
  2. To extend life memberships and honorary memberships towards the able and interested persons of various places of local and beyond local areas. The numbers of life members and honorary members are at present 165 (One hundred Sixtyfive) and 16 (Sixteen) respectively. Also, there are two advisors of the similar height. The life membership of the institute is at present Rs. 2000.00 (Rupees Two Thousand) only. This is Changeable from time to time. For life Membership interested one may apply through prescribed Application Form. This application form is to be collected from the office of the institute in person in any working day of the week excluding Holidays or through post by sending an application along with self addressed stamped envelop. The value of stamp is as going on for general postage charge. The Form is given free of cost.   
  3. To purchase Ten decimal land at a fair place at Vill: Chhotalaukuthi, P.O.: Bakshirhat, Dist: Coochbehar, (W.B), 736131 in the year 2001, with the help of fund collected/raised so far, for constructing a tiny campus of the Institute. The proposed campus is named by “VASHISTHA NAGAR” attributed by the activists immediately after the purchase of land.
  4. To construct a corrugated tin sheded kuchcha house (Kuchcha Floor & bamboomade walls) at Vashistha Nagar for executing various activities of the Institute. The money spent upon its construction, reconstruction and repair is around Rs. 35000.00 (Rupees Thirty-Five Thousand) Only.
  5. To construct institutional building shown here during 2013 -2015 with the financial assistance of Higher Education Department Social Education Branch , Government of West Bengal.
  6. To continue the process of up keeping Institutes assets, infrastructures and so on.

    3. To send fund Uttarbnga Sambad Relief Fund in connection to Rayganj disaster,
    4. To send fund to the Relief fund of Chief Minister of West Bengal for enriching the fund.
    5. To extend financial assistances frequently in small-scale towards very very needy persons of the locality in connection to their treatment for the cure from severe diseases.
    6. To extend relief materils towards the Santal refugees in Kumrgram Dooar W.B from Kokrajhar District, Assam,
    7. To Give financial help towads needy student of the locality
    8. To give the same help towards the ill-paid casual group-D workers of a renowned academic institution of Coochbehar Sadar, during the Pandemic relating to Covid-19  
    9. To perform activities less frequently in cost less manner for the aware of the local people about environmental and ecological issues
    10. To perform activities less frequently in cost less manner to prevent the cruelty upon animal and birds.
